Surprised no one else feels this way.

I think they count on people being just so darn excited for their tour, no matter what.  Stale? Musically for sure.  But with no new tunes, and no prospect of new tunes, the only surprise is what sorta effects will there be.  Its still a heck of a production for sure, but stale. I may skip this year also.
I agree on the stale part...as for this season I am finally on the very front row for the show in Raleigh, NC. I have always wanted to sit front row, but my wife really hates concerts and yet because of her love for me she always has been by my side. She is skipping this year (the love is still there) so I was able to get front row for one seat at the fan club pre-sale. This may be my last time if they do not change some things, great show but I have every CD or digital thing TSO/Savatage has put out. Sitting almost middle stage very first row has been a desire of mine since my first attendance in 2004...I'm sure its going to be an experience.

We've sat on the front row a few times over the last several years and it is a wonderful experience. You see more of the artists interacting with each other and making eye contact with you. I managed to select front row near-center tickets this year but when checking out I just could not make myself pay the $40+ fees to Ticketmaster and decided to spend my $246 dollars (plus travel expenses on a 3+ hour trip) elsewhere this year. I hate missing it but I had to draw a line somewhere and since I've already had the experience a few times this year was the year to draw it for me.

Hope your show is as awesome as they always are. Enjoy.
Any word on new people this year?
Most have posted something on social media that they are returning, but some have been unusually quiet.

I've seen the following say they are in:

Joel
Tony
Roddy
Jeff
Dustin - heard a rumor he was going to be in the west
Caleb
Georgia
Kayla
Gabby
Angus
Johnnie Lee
Blas
Nate
Rosa
Dino
Chloe
Jeff Scott

Thank you for that encouragement, its a blessing to know that. I have been waiting a very, very long time for this seat. My total for the ticket at fan club pre-sale was $114, not bad. But I understand the travel issues because we do a little over two hours as well on the road and then the hotel that I can walk from under $100 (don't feel like driving the roads in NC at night during deer season. I have never hit one and I do not want to.) which which saves me $30 in parking fees. I really do think this will be my last time for a few years unless they bring in something fresh next season. Can only see the same thing over and over before it's time to change gears. Hope your Christmas season is a great one minus the TSO fix.

I wonder if the East is getting John Brink back in exchange.

Personally, I'm hoping that this year is going to have a nice big long second set with songs they haven't done in a while. 2021's CEAOS tour was great production wise but the biggest issue I had with that tour was the painfully short second setlist and medleys instead of entire songs. I've complained about 2014's The Christmas Attic having a painfully short second set, but at least they played full songs.

I'm fairly certain that was an insurance issue re: the potential of COVID cancellations. The longer they're onstage and unmasked in an indoor arena, the more likely they'll have to cancel a show and lose hundreds of thousands (a million? Anyone know what their guarantee is?) dollars.
It's the same reason why they couldn't go into the audience last year.

Yes they get Brink back.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO John Brink is one of my favorite vocalists on the West tour I'm gong to be totally selfish and say Sorry Easties but you can't have him.

Sorry dude. Since Brink was returned to the East cast, Dustin was sent back to the West. Both great singers though.
