Now that it august and the tour dates will be out soon, anything different for this year? New show, New music? I know the last part is a pipe dream at this point.

Over the last number of years the tour announcement date get's later and later into August.  I remember when it used to be mid July when the tour dates were released.

Will not be CEAOS. Not saying this is the reason for the change, but there are some references to Russia in that story that probably would not go over well in the current climate.  Ghosts of Christmas Eve is back. New music? lol

Yes, TSO is touring this year. The Fresno date has been announced and the rest of the tour should be announced publically shortly.
Three dates revealed so far:

Uncasville, CT 11/23
Fresno 12/1
Birmingham 12/15
I'm disappointed that the 2022 Tour seems to be another 'Best Of'.  I didnt attend the tour last year either as the show has gotten stale.  (I've been to many TSO shows in the past including the first ever shows at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia).
Surprised no one else feels this way.

I think they count on people being just so darn excited for their tour, no matter what. Stale? Musically for sure. But with no new tunes, and no prospect of new tunes, the only surprise is what sorta effects will there be. Its still a heck of a production for sure, but stale. I may skip this year also.

The only recent excitement going to an TSO show was bringing someone who never saw a show before. I do agree the production has been top notch. Musically very stale. A new album would greatly help.

I agree on the stale part...as for this season I am finally on the very front row for the show in Raleigh, NC. I have always wanted to sit front row, but my wife really hates concerts and yet because of her love for me she always has been by my side. She is skipping this year (the love is still there) so I was able to get front row for one seat at the fan club pre-sale. This may be my last time if they do not change some things, great show but I have every CD or digital thing TSO/Savatage has put out. Sitting almost middle stage very first row has been a desire of mine since my first attendance in 2004...I'm sure its going to be an experience.
