RE: 2017 Winter Tour - sundance7490 - 09-10-2017 You actually scared me Dan, considering how others said things went so badly for them. I went back to make sure they were for the seats I thought and for the right shows. They were. How in the world did things go so well for some and so badly for others? I took a few people's advice on here who said do it on your computer instead of your cell phone. Do you guys think a lot of people were trying to do it on their cells and not a computer and that caused a lot of glitches? This is a fan friendly band and to be shut not one of the chosen for a code is ridiculous! I registered, have the confirmation, no code. I have another shot for a show on Friday, but at this point, not sure I even want to attend. It might not be personal, but when you get left out of a presale when you have attended shows for years, as well as been a fan club member, it feels personal. I got taken care of a couple of days later. i was fortunate, I truly feel for those that never received a code. It was that horrible feeling of being the only one in the class to not get an invite to the birthday party, having to sit alone in the school cafeteria, not getting picked for the team. Outside of public speaking, I would say the fear of rejection and being left out is one of the greatest fears of all! That's my armchair analysis about it. Hopefully something good happens for them! I did get codes for the Friday show. RE: 2017 Winter Tour - Lalbright - 09-10-2017 (09-06-2017, 09:56 PM)wickfam Wrote: Whew... Just got my code to purchase tickets! I do NOT like that Ticketmaster doesn't let you know if you're approved or not until the day of.... Very nervewracking... "What if I entered something wrong? There's no way to correct it..." yadda yadda yaddaI know of people that take off work to buy tickets, so that doesn't work for them. If they're still in existence next year I would hope they ditch this system. It really sucked when you didn't get a code. I did get codes for the two shows in Cincinnati and was able to buy front row for the matinee and second row for the evening show; and I was done at 10:06. It did help in getting better seats, but not getting a chance to buy for one show (Lexington, and only one ticket), had me ready to quit the entire bit! Then I found out that the code could be shared and in some cases worked for multiple shows! I do hope this system gets either a change over or ditched. I took a few people's advice on here who said do it on your computer instead of your cell phone. Do you guys think a lot of people were trying to do it on their cells and not a computer and that caused a lot of glitches? Oddly enough, it worked better for me direct from the phone. My problems came from trying to have a browser open on my computer for each show I was trying for. Then after throwing tix back that I did not care for after every three times, it looped me back to the events page which made me have to scroll through to the event and re-enter the code. So I had to go back to work and threw in the towel after about 45 minutes. Later in the day about 6 or 7 hours later I was able to snag some seats I liked right from my phone. Copy the code, click on the link, paste it in and BAM. All with my thumb. Once the tix were secured I had to type in payment and mailing info, but they give you plenty of time to do that. Still hi and dry right now on three out of four shows for East we plan on going to. The one West city we are hitting (Orlando) hasn't gone on sale yet because of Irma. I'll still get tix though for all of them. It's all good. I like the new system and think it will work even better next year. There was a lot of help available if you knew where to ask, and I certainly think they are open to suggestions for next year.
