No connection to TSO at all, from what I know. The talent coordinator liked what she saw and obviously passed the audition like any other hire. Most hires have no connection to TSO. Gabbie has been networking and performing in LA for years now. She has appeared at the Jam night’s that Dave’s brother hosts. She clearly knows many in the rock scene. The video you saw is JSS with BJ and Dave Z both, at that time, in Jeff's solo band, and Mike Portnoy of Sons of Apollo/ex-Dream Theater. She has performed at festivals and MOR Cruises where Soto also performed, so she certainly could have gotten to know them from there.
