Bill Hudson talks TSO, Savatage, much more in new interview
#1
Continuing my series of in-depth and career spanning TSO interviews - this time with guitarist Bill Hudson.

Though Bill Hudson is not touring with TSO in 2016, he remains a vital part of the organization both in the studio and at rehearsals. Bill made his debut with TSO East in 2015 but has been in the "family" for a while, performing with Circle II Circle, Jon Oliva's Pain and as part of the Savatage reunion concert in August 2015.

Some of the subjects we covered:

- His musical background while growing up in Brazil
- His "Rock Star"-style story with Savatage
- His approach to playing the TSO songs on the 2015 tour
- His career as a musician-for-hire
- The story behind his chosen stage name
- Writing and recording his forthcoming solo release

Another great read! Love your interviews! Its kinda sad that he isnt touring this year but glad that he is still with them. And interesting that you asked him about the fan experience and the obessives out there. It got particularly stupid with the Joel vs Bill crap on facebook - glad he realized how ridiculous it was too. Thanks for asking such great questions.

Great interview per usual. Glad to see Bill's going to be keeping busy even though he's not touring with TSO this year. He's too darn good to be sitting idle. Will be nice to see Joel H. again, but will for sure miss Bill. Shame that it got to be an either/or with some folks, even to the point of hate mail. Really? Geez.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed. Billl has had a really interesting and successful career. And yes, it did get ridiculous with the Joel v. Bill thing online - shame it went as far as it did, but cool to hear that Bill won over some of these obsessive fans!
