TSO in 2020

Yikes that doesn’t sound too promising. Maybe we will get a special live stream or VOD of past shows after all. Hey dan, anything forthcoming from the band themselves?

Sadly, the band have yet to be informed of TSO's plans (or lack thereof) for this year.  Though they all can see the writing on the wall, it seems they will find out what  TSO is doing (or not doing) at some point - maybe when it is announced to the fans?  It is a bummer as they will be out of work for the most part until hopefully they get re-hired for a 2021 tour. Hopefully Whitesnake or Sons of Apollo can get a head start in the summer so Joel and JSS can get working again.  Most of them are giving lessons in the interim.

As far as streaming something, looks like there will be one or two livestreamed shows happening.

What has been obvious for months is now official: no TSO tour for 2020.

Oh well. 2020 is the worst timeline. Hopefully there's an effective vaccine widely available and distributed for months in advance of fall 2021 so we can get what would [hopefully] be the best tour ever for Nov/Dec 2021.

Bummer for sure. Glass half-full is that everyone can be home with their families for the holidays, and hopefully next year things will be twice as awesome as they already are.

It would be nice if they used the downtime that they'll have from not touring to finish recording one of their delayed albums.  How many years has "When Kings Must Whisper" been in development now?  Considering that recording an album can all be done remotely these days, it's not like they need to gather in a studio.  Why not put this extra time to use and try completing it?

I actually read an interview about how the album is actually finished, but Paul wants to take it to Broadway first. At least, that's what I got out of it. He said he wanted the band to take a couple years off to work on that. Now would be a great time to work on it.

Hear's the link to the interview

I
ts the tenth question that they asked Paul.

Could be that they are officially moving forward with the livestream Show. The cast and backups have already been lined up as well as the venue. Desiree supposedly was on the fence about backing it, but maybe they have decided to do it.

a livestream would be great.  Hopefully it’s gets archived. The post is now edited and now says get plugged in 10/22. Weird term, almost getting a new album announcement vibe off of this.

No whole new album is ready yet. Some work has been done sporadically on Romanov this year, but it is far from completed. Guess we’ll find out shortly.
